LONDON International Tango Festival 11-14 September

River Tango 2008 promises to be bigger and better than ever – 4 days of star performances, cutting-edge workshops led by top international tango teachers, live music and of course, two days of free dancing into the night on London’s vibrant riverside, at the Thames Festival, right by Tate Modern and the Millennium Bridge on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th featuring beginners lessons, tango demonstrations and concerts.

River Tango 2008 will also feature performances from renowned DJs from Buenos Aires mixing classic tango tunes with the most recent music trends from Argentina, plus an “orquesta típica”, an astounding ensemble of over 10 musicians, as well as top international bands playing traditional and electronic tango.

The festival will kick off on September 11th at the Dome (Zero Hour), with two grand milongas at the stunning Bloomsbury Ballroom on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th, and culminate with a grand finale – “Milonga Eclectica” – at Negracha on Sunday 14th September.
